I remember being forced to watch slideshows as a kid, and used to dread getting back from holiday to spend hours watching what we'd already seen in real life projected onto a giant screen in a darkened room. Thankfully, slideshows these days are a lot quicker, slicker and easier on the eye. Quick Slide Show provides a means of creating your own shows from your photo collection and saving them to Flash, EXE or SRC in order to share with others over the Internet.
After getting used to the utterly hideous interface, I found that there were plenty of options to tinker with in order to produce a slideshow that people will actually enjoy watching. There are several different transition types to choose from, you can apply effects such as countdown timers and sand clocks and add any music you like. There are also options for adjusting the size of the images and the duration of time they spend on screen.
The result is, that Quick Slide Show lives up to its name. It provides a fast way of producing interactive galleries, with more customisation options than you'll find in the standard Windows slideshow viewer.
