Cobian Backup makes free security copies of data carriers and selected directories.
The freeware creates backups on other disks, network drives, removable media and FTP server.
For each backup job you have to create a so-called task in Cobian Backup first. In it, the users determine exactly which data is backed up, where they copied and at what time and at what intervals the backup copies to be created. Cobian Backup also distinguishes between so-called incremental, differential and full backups.
If necessary Cobian Backup grabs the backed up data in addition to a compressed and encrypted ZIP archive on request. Thus, the data is protected from prying eyes.
Conclusion
Cobian Backup is reliable, easy to use and can be adapted to the needs of each user accurately. Although the application is free, Cobian Backup does not need to fear comparison to expensive buy-back programs. The only drawback: backups to CDs or DVDs can be with the software not create.
